Her family makes its living raising and selling sheep and wool. Daisy along with her two older brothers, Ash and Dagwood, helped their parents run the farm. That is, until Ollie Brubaker, her brothers&amp;rsquo; friend, came up with the brilliant idea to head for a big city.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He had failed to get either of Daisy&amp;rsquo;s brothers to accompany him on his scheme, but Daisy having had a crush for years volunteered. Ollie wasn&amp;rsquo;t as thrilled about his friends&amp;rsquo; kid sister tagging along as Daisy thought he should be, but he appreciated the company anyway. Neither were her parents as happy with her decision as they thought they should be, but they did finally gave in once they realized she was following a stupid crush and would likely be home within the month. (And her parents and brothers had threatened the young man about keeping her safe.) The duo along with Rascal, whom Daisy had raised from a pup, made their way to Kolyen.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After two months, Ollie was ready to head home. They were nearly broke and his dreams of quickly rising to the top crumbled with each dead end job he managed to find, that and he was tired of putting up with Daisy&amp;rsquo;s antics.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Daisy on the other hand, managed to find work she thought was meaningful. She started a hobby of carving wooden knickknacks, which sold well at market, and eventually managed to gain a few odd jobs around a carpenter&amp;rsquo;s shop which she enjoyed immensely. Eventually a blow up came. Ollie headed home for the farm and Daisy stayed. Her brothers did make an appearance a few weeks later to make her come home, but she stood her ground and won.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Over the next year, Daisy ran into several people that would change her life. The first was the wife of the carpentry shop&amp;rsquo;s owner. One night the elderly owner, Drugan invited Daisy to dinner at his wife&amp;rsquo;s request. It turned out that Amalda, his wife, was a druid and thought from previous meetings that Daisy might have some talent. The training wasn&amp;rsquo;t rigorous, just when both women had time to dedicate to it, usually only one or two afternoons a week.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The next person was a girl about Daisy&amp;rsquo;s age. As it turned out, the girl, an adventurer by trade needed help on a wilderness expedition. Daisy managed to find the time to commit to the adventure and from then on managed to accompany Zephyrmane whenever she was in need ot an experienced tracker or survivalist. Not really having a dog sitter, Rascal came along as well.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The third individual was an elf she met in the woods during her druid training. Something-or-other Moonsword, as he was called, was camped outside of town. As it turned out he wasn&amp;rsquo;t terribly fond of cities but was in the area for personal reasons. He was out there for weeks while Daisy practiced becoming a druid and she eventually offered to bring him supplies from town if he didn&amp;rsquo;t want to go in. Eventually she just started bringing him a few supplies here and there regardless whether he needed them or not.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Then this adventuring guild thing came up and she felt it was time to head off and see what became of it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Update: Her gray and white bearded collie, Rascal, was smooshed by an ogre or troll or some such creature a week into their first adventure. Her dark hair falls down her back in a thick braid that nearly brushes the backs of her knees. Her colorful scholar&amp;rsquo;s outfit is kept neat but bears ink stains wrought by years of use. She&amp;rsquo;s probably pushing 90, still a young adult by Dwarven standards.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Her attitude is usually dour, unless she is talking about magic, the planes, or some similar topic then she becomes an open and jovial personality. At least she feels she&amp;rsquo;s been underappreciated. Having heard tales of swords and sorcery while growing up and from adventurers in the pubs, Elda knew she wanted to be a wizard, but didn&amp;rsquo;t really know how. So it was that through sheer determination and luck she managed to study alchemy. Unfortunately, her impressive skill with alchemy lead her not to the heights of magic which she desired, but to the local brew house where she gained minor fame with her odd but tasty mixtures. Dissatisfied with where her life was leading, Elda left the Dwarven lands for brighter prospects elsewhere.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It took years, but Elda finally managed to obtain basic training from a somewhat senile old human with an extensive library. As such, she became better acquainted at learning via research than from the old man. She paid for her studies, room, and board by making alchemical agents and items he had need of and grew frustrated when she found out he was selling them as his own product. However, what eventually angered her was that she eventually found herself creating alchemical concoctions more often than she found herself studying.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Alas, he soon died, barely three years into her studies and she set about finding another way to obtain knowledge while earning her keep. Apprenticing at an alchemist&amp;rsquo;s shop didn&amp;rsquo;t help, as the &amp;ldquo;master&amp;rdquo; did not like being upstaged by the apprentice. Trying to gain entry to any sort of wizarding schools was laughable without any funding or letter of reference. Dwarven wizards, especially in human lands were an oddity that most people couldn&amp;rsquo;t wrap their heads around enough to give an inch. Occasionally she would manage brief bouts of unconventional training from an itinerant wizard who needed help with something. The majority of her training was accomplished through researching at public libraries. Those that didn&amp;rsquo;t make spell books or the like available to people like her, she substituted with books on magical theory to fill in gaps.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;These circumstances lead her to an adventuring guild, well, not a guild, more of a compact, based out of Elberath. Usually these excursions didn&amp;rsquo;t last more than a week and were little more than caravan guard duty. The compact eventually ended when the brains of the operation decided to settle down. The brawn quickly chickened out and that was that.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;A chance rumor led her to Kolyen. While peddling her alchemical wares, fake love potions, and other oddities from a pushcart, an _____ by the name of _____ happened across her&amp;hellip;or she him. It was raining and she was having trouble seeing over the cart and fwump! Some were trained here, others have no contact with anyone in the guild whatsoever... but they are tied to each other in some way, through mutual friendships and alliances. There purpose here this day: to become founding members of a new adventuring guild. 				&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Meeting with their patron, Teimed, the group is sent to seek their fortunes in the north, within the salivating jaws of the Crelospire mountains. After uneventful travel to Elbereth, they stop to resupply and rest. Half of them push forward to pave the way for the others, to set up a guild house in advance and reduce the cost of them all being homeless together in the same city.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;On the way, they make a stop at a small, ancient cloister where the monks have gathered an impressive library. Their goal here is to borrow or purchase a book that details the lands that they are headed to, as most people living in Kradich County have not been foolish enough to venture farther than the foothills at the foot of the mountains.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;What they find at the library is a shock. The smell of ichor and the bodies of robed monks litter the floors along with piles of scattered books.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;And the bandits are still in the library.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Our heroes leap to action, a fierce battle rages where their teamwork is put to the test. They learn some lessons about what it means to work together as a team, but are ultimately victorious.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The bandits motives weren&amp;#39;t immediately clear, except they were looking for something, and didn&amp;#39;t want anyone else to find it either, as they were willing to torch the entire library despite being empty handed. After acquiring a rather large if not entirely pleasant smelling old warehouse, the group split into various tasks to get business going. Carpentry was done to make the guildhouse liveable, while others went to see what they could find about the new holy symbols they had &amp;#39;acquired&amp;#39;. Several of the guild members sampled the various ales the city had to offer while spreading word about the guild services, and their first customer came to them while in one such establishment.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Explaining her plight, the customer told the heroes that she was a master in a merchant guild operating out of the city, and their caravan had been beset by a group of goblin bandits. The drivers had been captured or killed, and the goods stolen. She was hiring the heroes to recover the stolen goods, 10 crates full of ale spices.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After the heroes confirmed her story was legitimate and properly equipped themselves to retrieve the goods, they set out into the hills south of Sumberton to recover the stolen property.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Several hours into their journey, they made their way off the road to the location where the guildmistress had indicated the goblins would be. While traveling there across the difficult terrain, they were beset by bandits themselves. Quickly dispatching the small foes, the heroes revived and released one of the goblins and then tracked it back to its lair, where they left the horses and wagon and descended into the depths of the earth.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The first thing they came upon was a guard post where two nasty hobgoblins were standing guard. The room they entered contained a large table that three goblins sat at, as well as various goods piled into each corner. After a brief encounter with the card playing goblins, the group found some of the crates of the Chicane guild amongst the goods. Not all of the stolen crates, but it was a start.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The group tasked a few of their numbers with securing the wagon up above while they searched for the remaining crates. However, they now faced a choice of which way to go. Two paths lead in opposite directions, with another set of the copper doors marked with a strange word and barred.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The group finally decided to head down one of the open hallways, and after descending some stairs found another room with bunks and more crates. In this room was a couple more goblins, that the team quickly dispatched, but not before they seriously injured Daisy&amp;#39;s dog, Rascal.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After taking the crates back to the wagon, the group continued through the room to find the walls gave way to rough stone once again and a crevasse with a rope bridge. Not liking the feel of it, they decided to go back and check the other open hallway the opposite direction.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In the opposite direction, the walls again gave way to rough cavern, and the group encountered a very muddy floor in a cavernous room. Wallowing in the mud was a large lizard, that seemed somewhat disinterested in the party until they came into the room.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;While the druid backed away and calmed the animal, the others debated going back to take a look at the barred copper doors.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Finally, the group simply decided to kill the lizard, and after a very short battle, the poor thing lay dead in the mud. Moving past the lizard, they discovered something unusual - another set of copper doors.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Opening the doors, the walls once again became the worked stone they had seen before. Looking down the hallway, the group was surprised to see a large goblin with a hyena pet. After a draining battle that left one of their number down and near death, and the rest hurt badly, the group decided to hole up in this room - which was an old library, long since looted of most of its books, but still a few stacks on the rickety shelving. The quarters were cramped, and lead even deeper into the earth, but the brave adventurers forged forward, eventually coming to a large pool of watery mud.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Crossing tentatively, the group slowly made its way across... until one of the pets fell in. A daring rescue attempt was put into motion, but heated words were exchanged when some of the rescuers were a bit... overzealous... with their rescuing, pounding the poor pooch on the head and knocking it deeper into the mud.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;As the group argued amongst themselves, their voices echoing off the cavern walls like giant gongs being struck, some of the party moved forward, looking into the next room.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;What they saw there was an animated skeleton, its eyes burning with unlife. As they prepared for battle and moved into the room, more of the creatures appeared from behind odd strips of cloth hanging like curtains from the ceiling. And the skeletons were not alone. A large hobgoblin priest commanded them, asking for divine spells from whatever horrid deity he worshipped to be used against the heroes.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The party proved to be too strong, however, and the skeletons fell in a pile of crushed bone and rotting armor, while the priest used a spell to become invisible and escape, despite half the party&amp;#39;s best efforts to track him.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;After the other half of the party descrated the altar and were rejoined by their companions that had pursued the evil cleric, they continued beyond the room, only to be surprised by more undead. This time, it was hobgoblin zombies, re-animated to once again serve their master after having been snuffed of their lives. It seems something has been attracted to the light of their fire. When the party rouses and goes to investigate, they find a half eaten body, and a large humanoid creature happily devouring the rest! Daisy jumps into battle, ordering her animal companion to attack. The creature drops the body and swings its giant club around at the attacking dog. It hits with a sickenly loud crunch, and the poor animal flies several feet away and remains motionless.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Terrified by this quick death, the other party members react by fleeing or hiding - a magical fog is created to aid in this. Unfortunately, the creature moves around the outside of the fog, to their cart that contains the hard won recovered crates - and their horses. Those hiding behind the cart fight valantly, but it is the other dog that comes through with a critical strike to the thing&amp;#39;s throat, ripping it out and killing the monstrous humanoid.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The party drags the two bodies back down into the cavern with them, with intention of throwing the bodies into the ravine where they had dumped the other bodies previously.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;As the party stands in the now broken card room deciding what to do, Froedrick goes to investigate a noise while Ansel drags the bodies to the ravine in the opposite direction. It isn&amp;#39;t long before the denizens of the dark take advantage of this party split, and Ansel is attacked by several gigantic rats.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;With the party coming to his aid, they are able to slaughter the three rats, with no damage done except a small bite on the dog.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The party decides to explore more of the ravine area, since they are already there. They move to the left of the bridge that crosses the ravine, and oddly find a ladder laying on the ground. The stench of the rotting corpses behind them masks the stench ahead of them, and they are quite shocked when they go to pick up the ladder to find that beyond is a pit full of garbage - with a large nasty bug in the middle of it.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;The creature burrows up through the floor and bursts out amongst the party, biting several of our heroes nearly in half. Barbarian rage is what saves them, as Ragar cleaves at the monster several times, finally bringing it down.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Having found that way to be a (nearly) dead end, they head the other direction, only to be ambushed once again by a pair of heavily armored goblins. This time the group is more prepared, and they quickly dispatch the small creatures, one of them falling into a sunken room beyond the door they entered. As they got their bearings, the body of the goblin was tossed back up from the sunken room.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Their curiosity piqued, they gazed into the room and saw a huge golem like figure made of stone circling the room, around several glowing summoning circles in the floor. Two of the party decide to take the goblin bodies and extra equipment back, while the three remaining examine the strange glowing mirrors of this room and the golem in the sunken room beyond.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;After determining that two of the mirrors seem to give off not reflections, but visions of other things instead, they leave the mirrors behind and focus on the golem below.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;After some debate, they decide a way around, but first, they try talking to it. They are surprised when it answers them in the Common tongue.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&amp;quot;Do not interfere with my mission,&amp;quot; it states simply. They try asking it a few questions, so it stops to examine them. Pointing to Ansel, it adds, &amp;quot;You worship Atlas and believe in what he stands for?&amp;quot; With an affirmation and some additional words by Ansel, the thing seems to come to a conclusion that it can trust the group. It reveals it was ordered to guard the summoning circles to prevent their use. It states it has been here for centuries guarding, and is quite aware that no one has come in those many years - that is, until the goblins came recently. Now it is more vigilant as the denizens of evil seem to be stirring again. The guardian allows them to pass through the room via ladders, but it watches each of them carefully as they pass by the summoning circles.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;With the three safely past, they look for a safe place to set up camp. After exploring the high ledge on the other side of the room, they suddenly hear a snarl and out of the darkness a dog like creature lunges out at them! Ansel is bitten severely as he is knocked back towards the ledge, and he knows if he stays to fight he will surely be killed. Risking it all, he yells out, &amp;quot;Guardian, catch me!&amp;quot; and jumps off the ledge back into the sunken room. The Guardian moves towards Ansel, but isn&amp;#39;t quick enough to break his fall. He lands hard and is knocked unconscious. Raised as a pickpocket by a group of orphans, she was always welcome among her peers. As years passed, and the orphans grew older, they were forced to join the local guild. This didn&amp;#39;t sit too well with Zephyr, who took it apon herself to leave town. Unfortunately, woodland survival was not part of her repetoire; luckily she was found a week later, saved by a cleric who was a member of a local adventuring guild. She had fallen into a ravine and neerly starved to death, but was otherwise in good condition. Ehgaal&amp;#39;s grandfather had been granted title for valor during the purging of the undead, and his house has lived a quiet existence since those times. As a house of lieutenants and rangers, the El&amp;#39;Evani family was surprised when Ehgaal was born. Frail and quiet, Ehgaal spent much of his childhood in study and meditation. His parents let him flourish in these studies, as his brother and sister grew into their roles as a warrior and ranger respectively, accepting Ehgaal&amp;#39;s studiousness as a blessing of diversity to their house. In accordance with this, on his fiftieth birthday, he was sent to Sorfarien to study with the magi in their school. Auspiciously, but unbeknownst to him, he would begin study on the same day That Dalin I led the Perinican army to the western coast of Belaria.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;His days of study were uneventful; he studied fastidiously under a stern, but understanding wizard, and completed his apprenticeship 84 years later on the same day Kradich christened his county. The curious nature of this empire had enthralled Ehgaal throughout his apprenticeship, and the founding of this new colony sealed his decision to spend his days studying these people.
